Basic Information

The iris is the circular, colored part of your eye that surrounds the black pupil in the center!

Your iris is located at the front of your eyeball, between the clear cornea and the lens inside your eye!

The main job of your iris is to control how much light enters your eye by changing the size of your pupil!

The iris is classified as a muscular tissue that works automatically without you having to think about it!

Your iris is made up of two types of tiny muscles, one type that makes your pupil bigger and another that makes it smaller!
