High up on a peaceful, grassy hill lived a clever goat named Gigi. She loved munching on the sweet green grass and enjoyed the quiet view from up high. One sunny afternoon, a hungry wolf crept up to the bottom of the hill. His stomach rumbled, and when he saw Gigi happily chewing her grass, he thought, “That goat would make a tasty meal.”
The wolf, with a sly grin on his face, called out, “Hello, Gigi! Why are you eating that grass up there? The grass down here is so much greener and juicier! Come on down, and I’m sure you’ll love it!”
Gigi paused, glanced at the wolf, and smiled. “Yes, I see the grass is greener down there,” she said, “but I also see you waiting for me, hoping to eat me!”
The wolf tried again, this time sounding sweet. “Oh no, Gigi! I wouldn’t do that! I promise I won’t eat you. Come on down, just for a taste of the grass.”
But Gigi was wise and shook her head. “Thank you for the offer, but I think I’ll stay right here where I’m safe.”
The wolf huffed in frustration. He tried to look innocent, but Gigi wasn’t fooled. He soon realized that no matter what he said, Gigi was too smart to fall for his tricks. With no meal in sight, the wolf sulked away, leaving Gigi safe on her hill.
Gigi smiled to herself and continued enjoying her grass, happy that she had trusted her instincts.
