Share Story
Once upon a time, in a sunny meadow, there were three little pigs who decided it was time to build homes of their own. The first pig was in a big hurry. He didn’t want to spend too much time working, so he quickly built his house out of straw. “This is easy and fast!” he said, feeling proud of his work.
The second pig thought he could do a little better, so he built his house out of sticks. It took a bit more time than the straw house, but he still finished quickly. “This should keep me safe!” he thought.
But the third pig, the wisest of them all, knew that building a strong house was important. He carefully gathered bricks and spent days making sure each one was placed just right. It was hard work, but when he was done, his house was sturdy and strong. “This house will protect me no matter what,” he said.
One day, a big, bad wolf came to the meadow. He was hungry and looking for a meal. First, he saw the straw house. He knocked on the door and said, “Little pig, little pig, let me in!”
But the pig inside replied, “Not by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin!”
So the wolf huffed and puffed and blew the straw house down! The little pig ran as fast as he could to his brother’s stick house. The wolf chased after him and knocked on the stick house door. “Little pigs, little pigs, let me in!”
“Not by the hair on our chinny-chin-chins!” they cried.
The wolf huffed and puffed again, and soon the stick house fell to the ground! Both pigs squealed and ran to their brother’s brick house, slamming the door behind them.
When the wolf arrived at the brick house, he knocked and said, “Little pigs, little pigs, let me in!”
“Not by the hair on our chinny-chin-chins!” the pigs shouted together.
The wolf huffed and puffed with all his might, but no matter how hard he tried, the brick house wouldn’t budge. Frustrated, the wolf finally gave up and ran away, grumbling about how hard it was to blow down bricks.
The three little pigs were safe inside the brick house, and they realized that taking time and doing things the right way had paid off. From then on, the two other pigs promised to be more like their wise brother.
Moral:
Hard work and planning pay off.
Parenting Tip: Teach your child the value of hard work and patience. Just like the third little pig, taking the time to plan and build something strong can lead to lasting success. Encourage them to complete tasks with care and not rush through them.

Did You Know? Fun Facts About Pigs and Building Materials:
Pigs are intelligent animals, and there are many interesting facts about the materials we use to build homes! Here are some fun facts to share with your child:
- Pigs: Pigs are very smart! They can learn tricks and even play video games. Some studies have shown that pigs are as intelligent as dogs and can even use mirrors to find food!
