On a bright, sunny day, the North Wind and the Sun were having a friendly argument. “I am stronger than you!” said the North Wind, blowing cool breezes.
“No, I am stronger!” replied the Sun, shining brightly. They saw a man walking in a thick coat and had an idea.
“Let’s see who can make the man take off his coat!” said the North Wind.
“I’ll go first!” the North Wind said, puffing up his cheeks. He blew with all his might, making the wind howl. But the man held onto his coat tightly, shivering in the cold.
Then it was the Sun’s turn. The Sun beamed down warmly, spreading golden light. The man felt the warmth and smiled. Soon, he took off his coat and felt free!
The North Wind sighed. “You are right, Sun. Being gentle works better than being rough.”
