The Mice and the Weasels

Share Story

Once upon a time, in a peaceful village, the mice faced a big problem. Sneaky weasels were always stealing their food and scaring them! Tired of living in fear, the mice gathered to find a solution. After much discussion, they decided to appoint brave leaders who would wear shiny horns on their heads, believing this would scare the weasels away.

The next time the weasels attacked, the mice leaders, proudly wearing their horns, charged forward with courage. But disaster struck! When they tried to retreat into their burrows, their horns got stuck at the entrance. They couldn’t escape, and the weasels easily caught them.

After the fight, the mice realized their mistake. The shiny horns didn’t help them at all. Instead, they became a burden that led to their downfall. From that day on, the mice learned that being vain and trying to show off could bring more harm than good.

Moral:

Vanity leads to downfall.

Parenting Tip: Teach your child that being practical and humble often leads to better outcomes than focusing on appearances or impressing others.
