One warm and sunny afternoon, Buddy, a curious little puppy, was playing outside in his yard. He loved to chase butterflies and sniff around the garden. But as he followed a butterfly that flew too far, Buddy wandered off and suddenly realized he didn’t know where he was. He had gotten lost!

At first, Buddy felt scared and all alone. The trees around him looked unfamiliar, and his cozy home seemed far, far away. But Buddy took a deep breath and remembered what his owner always said, “If you ever need help, don’t be afraid to ask.”

With that in mind, Buddy set off, determined to find his way back. As he wandered through the woods, he spotted a friendly squirrel gathering nuts. “Excuse me, Mr. Squirrel, can you help me find my way home?” Buddy asked politely.

The squirrel twitched its little nose and pointed its paw. “I’m not sure, but you should ask Wise Owl. He knows everything about the forest!” Buddy thanked the squirrel and hurried along the path the squirrel had shown him.

Soon, Buddy spotted Wise Owl sitting on a high tree branch, his big eyes blinking in the sunlight. “Wise Owl, I’m lost. Can you help me find my way home?”

The owl hooted softly. “Head towards the big clearing where Bear lives. He might know the way.”

Buddy thanked the wise owl and trotted off again. As he reached the clearing, he saw a big, gentle bear sitting by a stream. “Hello, Mr. Bear. I’m lost. Can you help me get home?”

The bear smiled kindly. “Of course, little one. I remember passing by a cozy house near the edge of the forest. I think that’s where you live. Follow me, and I’ll take you there.”

With Bear leading the way, Buddy soon saw something familiar—his very own house! His tail wagged with excitement as he ran up the path. His owner was waiting at the door, overjoyed to see him. “Buddy! I was so worried!” she cried, hugging him tightly.

Buddy turned to thank his new friends—the squirrel, the owl, and the bear. “Thank you all for helping me! I wouldn’t have made it home without you.”

That day, Buddy learned a very important lesson: whenever you’re lost or unsure, it’s always okay to ask for help.

Moral:

Asking for help is okay.

Parenting Tip: Teach your child how to ask for help when needed, just like Buddy in the story.
