The Lion and the Bulls

Share Story

In a peaceful, green meadow, three mighty bulls grazed together every day. They were the best of friends, always sticking close to one another. Their bond was strong, and because they stayed together, no predator dared to come near them. Even the fiercest lion wouldn’t think of attacking, knowing he couldn’t take on all three bulls at once.

But one day, a clever and hungry lion watched them from the shadows. As he crouched behind the tall grass, he came up with a sneaky plan. “If I can get them to argue and break apart, I’ll have my chance,” thought the lion, licking his lips.

The next morning, while the bulls were grazing, the lion approached them one by one, whispering into their ears. To the first bull, he said, “Did you know your friend thinks you’re not as strong as you claim?” Then to the second bull, he whispered, “Your friend said you’re too slow and always get in the way.” And to the third, he murmured, “They don’t trust you; they think you’re a coward.”

The bulls, who had always trusted each other, began to feel uneasy. They started to believe the lion’s lies. Soon, they were bickering and blaming one another. “You’re not as strong as you think!” one bull snorted at another. “Well, you’re too slow!” the second bull snapped back. And so, they argued, each bull feeling hurt and angry.

As they quarreled, the bulls began to drift apart, no longer standing together like they used to. The lion saw his chance. One by one, he approached them when they were alone and, with ease, caught each bull. In no time, the lion enjoyed a grand feast.

The bulls, who had once been unstoppable together, learned the hard way that their strength came from their unity. Without each other, they were easy prey.

Moral:

Stay united to stay strong. When you stand together, nothing can tear you apart.

Parenting Tip: Teach your child the importance of teamwork and trust. Explain how sticking together with family or friends can help overcome challenges and why it’s crucial not to let misunderstandings break important bonds.
